About This Book

Seerah Encyclopedia, Volume 1 is the first part of The Hidden Pearls, a multi-volume account of the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This opening volume sets the scene before his birth, describing the religions, kingdoms, and history of Arabia and its neighbors so that readers understand the world into which the Prophet was sent.

The encyclopedia was compiled by Darussalam, originally in Urdu, and is being translated into other languages. Each event was researched and reviewed by a thirteen-member committee and written in an easy, readable style. Please note that it is not a translation of the four-volume Arabic work that shares the name al-Lu'lu' al-Maknun (The Hidden Pearls); it is a separate, newer work.
