The book records the main historical events that shaped the founding of Madinah, its sanctity, and its religious standing. It also describes the sites most closely tied to the city, such as the Prophet's Mosque and Quba Mosque. A large part of the book is given to the Prophet's Mosque, tracing its expansions and improvements from the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the Saudi era. About 50 or more images, old and new, taken from documented sources, accompany the text.
