About This Book
Abu Dhar Al-Gifari (R): Struggle for Equality tells the life of Abu Dhar Al-Gifari (may Allah be pleased with him), one of the very first people to accept Islam. He traveled to Makkah looking for the new Prophet, believed in him, and then declared his faith aloud at the Ka'bah in front of the Quraysh, who beat him for it. He did the same thing again the next day.
That courage marked the rest of his life. He kept speaking up for what he believed when it was dangerous, and he is remembered above all for insisting that wealth be shared, so that no Muslim lived in luxury while others went without. He kept the same devotion to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and to Islam from his first day to his last.
