Why Muslims Love Jesus

About This Book

In Why Muslims Love Jesus, Ekram Haque explains the deep respect Muslims hold for Jesus (peace be upon him) and his mother Mary, a respect many Christians are unaware of. He looks at how the Qur'an presents Jesus and Mary and why Muslims speak of Jesus with an honorific of peace.

The book compares three portraits: the Jesus of Islam, the Jesus of Christianity, and the Jesus of history. The author notes both the common ground and the differences, and argues that the historical Jesus and the Islamic Jesus are closer than many assume. His stated hope is that shared love for Jesus can encourage Christians and Muslims to cooperate rather than argue.
