Treaties on Zakat and Fasting

About This Book
Treaties on Zakat and Fasting contains two short treatises by Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Baz, the late Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, answering the questions Muslims most often ask about zakat and the fast of Ramadan from the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah.
The Shaykh presents zakat as a purification of wealth and a right of the poor, to be calculated honestly. On fasting he stresses that the fast is not only avoiding food and drink but also guarding the tongue, the eyes and the limbs, since without that the aim of fasting, taqwa, is missed. At thirty-two pages, it can be read in one sitting before Ramadan.
