Bid'ah & Common Mistakes

About This Book

This short book by Muhammad S. Adly explains why it matters to avoid bid'ah, meaning innovation in religious practice, and to correct it where it has entered the way Muslims practice Islam. It takes as its starting point the Prophet's (peace be upon him) warning that every innovation in religion is misguidance, and it aims to help readers bring their practice in line with the Qur'an and the Sunnah.

Along with the general principle, the author describes common forms of bid'ah and explains how each can be corrected. At 77 pages, it can be read in a sitting or two.
