About This Set

This 7-volume set is an Urdu edition of Sunan an-Nasa'i, one of the six major hadith collections (al-Kutub as-Sittah). The work, also known as al-Mujtaba or as-Sunan as-Sughra, is a selection the Imam drew from a larger collection of his, keeping only the narrations he judged reliable. This edition is in Urdu. About the Compiler

The collection was compiled by Imam Abu Abdur-Rahman Ahmad bin Shu'aib an-Nasa'i (214-303 AH), from Nasa in Khurasan. Like other hadith scholars of his time, he traveled widely to gather narrations, including to Baghdad, Ash-Sham, Egypt and Makkah, and he was praised by later scholars such as ad-Daraqutni. Some scholars regard his Sunan as having the fewest weak narrations among the four Sunan collections.
