About This Book
Daolat Mand Sahaba (The Wealthy Companions) is a book in Urdu by the late Maulana Abdul Majeed Sohdarvi about Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who were wealthy. It was first published in 1947 and, because of its popularity, has been reprinted from time to time since then. A full description in Urdu follows below.
کتاب کا تعارف
«دولت مند صحابہ» مولانا عبدالمجید سوہدروی رحمہ اللہ کی تصنیف ہے، جو پہلی بار ۱۹۴۷ء میں شائع ہوئی اور اپنی مقبولیت کی وجہ سے وقتاً فوقتاً دوبارہ شائع ہوتی رہی ہے۔
بعض غیر مسلموں میں یہ غلط فہمی پائی جاتی ہے کہ اسلام مسلمانوں کو دولت مند ہونے کی اجازت نہیں دیتا۔ یہ کتاب نبی کریم ﷺ کے دولت مند صحابہ کی مثالوں کے ذریعے اس خیال کا جواب دیتی ہے۔ مصنف نے کسبِ معاش، معاشی استحکام اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی راہ میں مال خرچ کرنے کی اہمیت بیان کی ہے۔
دولت مند صحابہ اور دیگر نیک لوگوں کی زندگیوں سے یہ دکھایا گیا ہے کہ دولت نے انہیں اللہ سے غافل نہیں کیا، بلکہ انہوں نے اپنے مال کے ذریعے اللہ کا قرب حاصل کیا۔
What the Book Covers
Some non-Muslims believe that Islam does not allow Muslims to be wealthy. The author answers this idea with examples of Companions who were rich. He explains the importance of earning a living, strengthening one's economic position, and spending wealth in the cause of Allah (SWT). Through the lives of wealthy Companions and other pious people, the book shows that their riches did not make them heedless of Allah; they used their wealth to draw closer to Him.
