About the Author

Dr. Gohar Mushtaq earned his PhD from Rutgers University in 2001, specializing in biochemistry and biophysical chemistry. He studied the classical Islamic sciences from childhood, first with his father and later with other teachers. He writes for English and Urdu Islamic magazines and gives Friday sermons and lectures at mosques and Islamic centers in the United States. His other books include Growing a Beard, The Intelligent Heart, The Pure Heart, Islam: Its Beauty & Wisdom, and The Music Made Me Do It.
