About This Set
This 9-volume set is an Urdu edition of Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah (The Beginning and the End), the well-known work of Islamic history by the classical scholar Imam Ibn Kathir, presented here under the title Tareekh Ibn Kathir. The work begins with the creation, moves through the accounts of the earlier prophets and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and then follows the history of the Muslims in the centuries after him. In this edition, the material of 16 volumes has been arranged into 9 books, so some books in the set hold more of the original volumes and some hold fewer. This edition is in Urdu.
