About This Set
Summarized Sahih Muslim is an English translation of al-Hafiz al-Mundhiri's abridgment of Sahih Muslim, the hadith collection of Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj that is regarded as the most authentic after Sahih al-Bukhari. Al-Mundhiri arranged his summary to make the collection easier to memorize, study, and search.
This two-volume edition is published by Darussalam. The hadith are rendered in clear, modern English. For the roughly 58% of narrations that also appear in Sahih al-Bukhari, the translation is based on Dr. Muhsin Khan's translation of Bukhari, and the publisher also benefited from Abdul Hamid Siddiqi's translation of Sahih Muslim. Darussalam notes that the project took about five years.
