About This Book

Signs of The Hour gathers what the Quran and the hadith say about the signs that come before the Last Hour and the Day of Judgement. Belief in the Last Day is one of the pillars of faith, and this book sets out those signs so that readers can recognize them and prepare themselves to meet Allah.

The book opens with a preface on faith in the Last Day and its rewards and punishments. It describes how often the Prophet (peace be upon him) spoke about the Hour and reminded his Companions of it, and how the Companions reflected on it among themselves. It also notes that many of the signs the Prophet (peace be upon him) foretold have already appeared, and cites the verse "The Hour has drawn near and the moon has been split" (54:1).
