About This Book
Life and Times of the Messengers is an abridged English translation from Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah (The Beginning and The End) by Imam Ibn Kathir. It is the second part of Darussalam's English series drawn from that work, and it tells the stories of prophets whom Allah sent before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), along with the nations they were sent to.
Belief in all of the prophets and messengers is part of Islamic faith, and the book shows how each of them called his people to worship Allah alone. Many of these figures are also known to Jewish and Christian readers, which makes the book useful for understanding what the Islamic sources say about them.
