In this biography, Dr. Ali Muhammad As-Sallabi covers the life of Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq (may Allah be pleased with him), the first Caliph of Islam, from the day he accepted Islam until his death. The author describes Abu Bakr as a close companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and, after the Prophet's death, as the leader who held the Muslim community together. He also shows how Abu Bakr's approach as a Muslim and as a ruler helped lay the foundations of a stable state that began in Madinah, spread across the Arabian Peninsula, and reached lands beyond it.
Abu Bakr's caliphate lasted about two years.
