About This Set
This set contains the opening volumes of Musnad Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in Arabic with English translation and commentary on authenticity. The Musnad of Imam Ahmad is one of the largest and most important collections of hadith. It is arranged by Companion, so that the hadith narrated by each Sahabi are grouped together, beginning with the ten who were promised Paradise.
The full Musnad contains around 27,000 hadith, and this English edition is published as a multi-volume series. For each hadith, the commentary states its degree of authenticity, and the edition notes which narrations also appear in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
