Al-Hasan ibn 'Ali (R) His Life & Times

About This Book

This book covers the life and times of al-Hasan ibn 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), a grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

A central theme is his decision to give up the caliphate to Mu'awiyah for the sake of Muslim unity. The book presents this as a lesson for leaders at every level: that yielding position and authority can serve the greater good of the Ummah, and that worldly status can be set aside for the sake of Allah.
