About the Author

Dr. Bilal Philips was born in Jamaica and grew up in Canada, where he accepted Islam in 1972. He earned a B.A. from the Islamic University of Madeenah, an M.A. in Islamic Theology from the University of Riyadh, and a Ph.D. in Islamic Theology from the University of Wales. In 2001 he established the Islamic Online University, and he has taught Arabic and Islamic Studies at universities in the UAE.
