About This Book
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal's al-Musnad is one of the major hadith collections. Among its narrations are more than three hundred "thulaathiyyaat": hadiths in which only three narrators stand between Imam Ahmad and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Hadith scholars valued such short chains highly.
Shaikh Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Saalim as-Saffaareenee al-Hanbalee gathered these narrations from al-Musnad into a separate work. This edition presents that collection with an English translation by Nasiruddin al-Khattab and explanatory notes on each hadith.
