About This Set
This seven-volume set is the complete Sahih Muslim in Arabic with English translation, published by Darussalam. Sahih Muslim was compiled by Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj and is regarded by the majority of Sunni scholars as the most authentic hadith collection after Sahih al-Bukhari. It is one of the six major hadith books, and some hadith scholars have praised it for its organization and its limited repetition.
The translation by Nasiruddin al-Khattab is written in clear, modern English, and the hadith were edited and referenced by Hafiz Abu Tahir Zubair Ali Zai. Where a word needs clarification, an explanation is given in brackets, and where that is not enough, a footnote is provided. The set opens with a biographical sketch of Imam Muslim, followed by Imam Muslim's own introduction, in which he discusses differences among narrators and their levels of trustworthiness.
