About This Set
This nine-volume set is the complete Sahih al-Bukhari with the English translation of Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan. Compiled by Imam al-Bukhari, Sahih al-Bukhari is regarded by Sunni Muslims as the most authentic collection of hadith and is one of the six major hadith books. Imam al-Bukhari spent about sixteen years compiling it, examining a very large number of narrations and including only those whose authenticity he had established.
The set contains 7,563 hadith. They are arranged into "books" on broad subjects, such as the Book of Salat, and each book is divided into chapters that group related hadith together.
