About This Set
Minhaj Al-Muslim ("The Way of a Muslim") is a comprehensive guide by Shaykh Abu Bakr Jabir Al-Jaza'iri covering what a Muslim needs in belief, manners, character, acts of worship and dealings with others. It is presented in English in two volumes because of the amount of material it contains.
The author, born in Algeria in 1921, moved to Al-Madinah, where he taught at the Islamic University of Madinah and gave regular lessons in the Prophet's Mosque. He wrote the book at the request of Muslims in the city of Wujdah in Morocco, who asked for a single work gathering correct belief, etiquette, worship and transactions, and he completed it in about two years. On matters of fiqh where no conclusive text settles the question, he compared the views of Imams Abu Hanifah, Malik, Ash-Shafi'i and Ahmad and chose the opinion he judged strongest.
