About This Book
Medicine of the Prophet, known in Arabic as Tibb-un-Nabawi, is Ibn al-Qayyim's classic work on the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in matters of health. This is a revised, deluxe edition printed in full color on glossy paper, with pictures and illustrations.
Ibn al-Qayyim, the 14th-century scholar of Damascus and student of Ibn Taymiyyah, wrote the book more than 650 years ago. He relies mainly on verses of the Qur'an and statements of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and covers both the treatment of various ailments and preventive measures for keeping the body well. The final chapters form a glossary of remedies, herbs, foods and other natural substances.
