About This Book

Imam At-Tirmidhi (d. 279 AH) is the compiler of Jami' At-Tirmidhi, one of the six major hadith collections. This biography describes his life during the Abbasid period, his extensive travels in search of knowledge, and his years as a student of Imam al-Bukhari. It also covers the esteem in which later scholars held his Jami' and his standing in other fields, including tafsir, fiqh, and history.
