This book is a biography of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, may Allah have mercy on him, written by Salahuddin Ali Abdul Mawjood and translated into English by Sameh Strauch. Imam Ahmad is the scholar after whom the Hanbali school of jurisprudence is named, and he compiled the large hadith collection known as the Musnad.
