Ce livre en français rassemble les histoires des prophètes (que la paix soit sur eux) tirées d'Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah (Le Commencement et la Fin), grande œuvre de l'exégète et historien Ibn Kathir, qui occupe une place importante dans la littérature islamique. Les récits et les événements de la vie des prophètes s'appuient sur les versets du Coran et sur la Sunna du Prophète ﷺ.
