Character development is a field often overlooked in most Islamic lectures today. Muslims should remember that being an effective worshipper starts with being an effective person. Managing time, planning, and concentrating on efficiency were exemplified by the Prophet (s), and must be an integral part of a Muslim's life today as well.
Sheikh Isam Rajab was born in Kuwait in 1976. He graduated from the Islamic University of Madina in 1998 with a BA in Sharia, graduated from American Open University in 2003 with a MA in Islamic Law, and is currently a PhD candidate at Al-Azhar University. He has gained Ijaza twice due to his recitation of the Quran. He has worked for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Kuwait since 1999 as an Imam and advisor. He has written several articles, delivered many speeches, and has worked in various media such as radio and TV. Currently he is the Imam of the Islamic Center of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM, and is a teacher at the University of New Mexico.
