Although Quran is for all of mankind and overall it is simple enough to be understood by a common man, but there are some passages which are not easily understandable and explanation is necessary for these passages. That is the reason tafseer or explanation of Quranic text is written. The aim of tafseer is to provide explanation along with context of every ayah in Quran.
