One of great blessings of Allah on all of mankind is that he gave them the ability to speak. But this ability can be both used and misused as well. One can use it to utter praise of Allah or he can also do backbiting using this ability. It is because of this possibility of dual usage of tongue that Islam has placed certain restriction on usage of tongue.
